- 2. INTRODUCTION This lesson aimed to enhance civic consciousness and defense preparedness in the youth by developing the ethics of service and patriotism while undergoing training in any program components , specifically designed to enhance youth’s active contribution to the general welfare.

- 4. LOVE OF THE COUNTRY PATRIOTISM - The love that people feel for their country.
- 5. LOVE OF THE COUNTRY - Devotion and sense of attachment to homeland and alliance with other citizens who share the same sentiment.
- 6. HONOR The members of the AFP believe in HONOR as the most important virtue that that a soldier must posses.
- 7. HONOR Considered as more precious than life itself, because without honor, a man is nothing but a beast.
- 8. HONOR Means clean consciousness, personal dignity, good reputation, and unquestionable character.
- 9. HONOR An honorable soldier does not lie, cheat, steal, violate moral and ethical codes, not tolerate the violations of the code of honor is the sacred part of the character of a soldier, violation of which should bring shame.
- 10. LOYALTY The members of AFP believe in unflinching loyalty.
- 11. LOYALTY Thus we shall promote the national interest and security as a paramount concern, and shall defend the constitution , and shall be obedient to the duly constituted government, and shall obey the orders of those legally appointed over us, and shall support those who lead us and those who serve with us.
- 12. VALOR We believe in valor as the power and strength, courage and ability to overcome fear.
- 13. VALOR Enable the soldiers to carry out their mission and to accomplish what is seemingly impossible.
- 14. VALOR It is more than bravery or ability to endure pain.
- 15. VALOR It is calmness and presence of mind in the heat of battle where danger or death is imminent.
- 16. VALOR It is the courage to stand for what is right and the perseverance to make it difficult for others to do wrong.
- 17. DUTY Despite difficulty and danger, we perform our tasks as order or implied.
- 18. DUTY Discipline and obedience, we believe that duty is a personal act of responsibility, which we show by doing all our assigned tasks to be the best of our ability.
- 19. SOLIDARITY Is the value that binds us with the rest of our comrades-in-arms.
