- 3. INTRODUCTION Students will discuss the general systems learning theory by looking at individual components of the learning theory background. GST originated in Viennese biological research and studies of the philosophy of science. Weiss’s, in the 1920s, while conducting his butterfly research, questioned whither studying isolated parts of complex organism was a reasonable approach to learning about the organism. “A system is a set of objects together with relationship between objects and between their attributes”. P11

- 5. PROCESS Students will writ a three page analysis of GST. After reviewing the previous links the students will create a presentation demonstrating how the ADDIE ID model is part of GST.

- 7. CONCLUSION As you can see the ADDIE ID model fits nicely into GST. By viewing the individual components of the ADDIE model , one can see how they fit into the system of learning. GST can include a wide variety of one or more different learning theories.
