7 FREQUENTLY ASKED INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
Is job interview still a nightmare for you?
And does interview failure follows? Inadequate preparation and confidence are the major
reasons for your interview fiasco. Start with the basic questions rather than starting from the
complicated ones. Dressing and personality is secondary. Just being neat and presentable
with good knowledge and positive attitude is all what an organization wants. So here are the
frequently asked interview questions - be ready to face them next time.
1. Tell about yourself, your strength and weakness:
Interviewees are often welcomed with this question by which the interviewer tries to
understand how expressive you are and your communication skills. Prepare for this question
with effective and relevant answers. First impression is the best impression and if done well, it
will boost up your confidence level. Do explain both the strength and weakness. Don?t give
lengthy answers as it may kill the interest of the interviewer. Give crisp and straight forward
answers.
2. What are your team player qualities:
Maintaining good relationship with colleagues and effective team work are essential to
sustain in an organization. So the answer to this question should be totally positive. Even if you
are not good at team work, try not to pass that impression. Convince you interviewer that you
are good at it by providing enough examples about the various projects you have worked on
during college, internships or in previous workplace.
3. Why should I hire you?
A very diplomatic but harsh question asked in a nice manner to measure your
potentials. Speak out your abilities, talents and your achievements. It's advisable not to
present yourself as someone who is desperately in need of a job, rather present yourself as a
potential candidate whose can add great value to the company and is worth hiring to the
organization.
4. Tell about the project you initiated
A descriptive answer is a must for this question with adequate documents to prove
your statements. Be equipped with proper reports or portfolios of your assignments and
projects with which you can base you statements. A good presentation to this question will
make your interviewer understand your subject knowledge and can measure the value that
you can bring in to the organization.
5. Why do you want to work here?
This is a very simple question but asked in many organizations to know your passion
and interest. The ultimate intention behind this question is to understand your seriousness
towards the interview and your passion for the profession.
6. How do you deal with pressure?
You need to face this question with a positive answer. Do not suggest those pressure
relieving methods such as alcohol or smoking. Let your answer be some of your hobbies like
reading books, listening music or socializing which you feel can be used as a remedy to deal
with pressure. Extreme sports can also be a great answer for this question.
7. What interest you about this job?
The answer should be your qualification, your goal and your passion for the particular
industry which should be relevant to the post you have applied for. Respect the organization
and the profession and speak out the positive things that you feel have attracted you.
