            Investigation #5:
            REVIEW-->
            *transformations - the changing of a figure's position or form.

            *reflection - a "flip" - oftentimes over either the x-axis or the y-axis

            *rotation - a "turn" on a certain point - oftentimes the rotation
            happens in 90 degree increments

            *translation - a "slide" - oftentimes both a horizontal shift & a
            vertical shift (4, 2)--means 4 units to the right and up 2 units

            *dilation - an enlargment of a figure
                     scalefactor
            *contraction - a reduction of a figure

            FYI...to complete a dilation or a contraction on a figure - multiply
            the coordinates of the figure by the scale factor to get the
            coordinates of the new figure
