Science and Spirituality (Bird’s eye view) “ The teachers of tomorrow are the students of today” – Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba
What is Veda? "Vetthi ithi Vedah"; Knowing, knowledge is Veda. That is to say, man can know from the Vedas, the Code of Right Activity and the Body of Right Knowledge. Through the study of the Vedas, one become the master of all knowledge. In order to make this human career worth while, the study of the Vedas was considered very essential.
Classification of Vedas Rig Veda – Fire element Yajur Veda – Earth and water element Sama Veda – Air / Wind Atharva veda – Space
RIG VEDA The Rg Veda teaches Unity. It exhorts all men to pursue the same holy desires. All hearts must be charged with the same good urge; all thoughts must be directed by good motives towards good ends. All men must tread the one Path of Truth for all are but manifestations of the One. All are parts of God, His Power, His Energy. The Atma that is the Reality in everyone is, in truth, the One manifesting as the Many.
Holistic structure of our physiology The cognizer (Jnaatha), manas, buddhi, ahamkaram, panchakam – Space element-recognized in the inner senses (Atharva veda). Sensory organs: the ear, the skin, the eye, the tongue, the nose - fire element (Rig veda) - Also named as Jnanendriyas, the organs of knowledge
Holistic structure of our physiology Vayu element - Samaana, Vyaana, Udaana, Praana, and Apaana – Also named as Pancha pranas(Sama veda) Water Element – Yajur Veda - Sabda, Sparsa, Rupa, Rasa, Gandha (Sound, Touch, Form, Taste and Smell).
Contd….. Named as Pancha Thanmaathraas - the Five Subtlenesses Earth Element – Yajur Veda - The vocal organs, hands, legs, genitals and the excretory organs.(Karmendriyas - the organs of action)
Five element response to our body Earth - bone, skin, flesh, veins, hair Water - Blood, urine, saliva, phlegm, brain Fire - Hunger, thirst, sleep, sloth, comradeship Vayu - Activity, movement, speed, shame, fear Akasa- lust, anger, greed, pride and envy
RK VEDA: Holistic Functioning of the Physiology

YAJUR VEDA The name is derived from the root 'Yaj‘. The Yajur Veda describes the modes and methods of performing Yajna and Yaga to propitiate the Gods. Adhwara also means 'a sacrifice‘. The Yajur Veda has two recensions, one centering round the tradition of Aditya or the Sun and the other, around the tradition of Brahma. The latter is distinguished as Krishna (Dark) Yajur Veda and the former as Sukla (White) Yajur Veda.
SAMA VEDA Represents the Air element Primary source and authority to the origin of music Smoothens the Nervous system Represented as “Gandharva Veda” Pulsates the Heart beat and moves along with Pacemaker in heart

Athrava veda It means a steady, unmoved person, one who is of stable nature. Atharva is also widely identified in the Veda as Praana-atma, (the superconsciousness that activates the vital airs) and Prajapathi (the ruler of all beings born).

Brain structure explanation Circled Elephant Face Shaped Picture & it’s characteristics. Cerebellum: A region of the brain that plays an important role in the integration of sensory perception and motor output. The portion of the brain (located at the back) which helps coordinate movement (balance and muscle coordination). White: Medulla Oblongata: It controls autonomic functions and relays nerve signals between the brain and spinal cord.
Brain structure explanation Pons It is part of the central nervous system, and relays sensory information between the cerebellum and cerebrum. Small white circle in the end of trunk: Spinal Cord There are many functions of Spinal Cord. Basically to relay information to and from your brain. Carnival Nerves – linked to sense organs and muscles of the head

Vedic science Vs. Modern science " The astonishing, progress of science and technology has not brought with it corresponding powers of discrimination and wisdom. Man must realise that the sense organs, through which he explores the external and discovers the powers latent in Nature and the physical universe, function because of the Divinity which is immanent with them. Without the power of Divine, the eyes cannot see or the ears hear or the mind think." (Bhagawan Sathya Sai Baba. SSS. Vol.17. Chapter 11).
Swami’s comment on Modern science Swami remarks that Science starts from one point and ends in another point and gives us different dimension. Science can explain only the question of how it happens. (not why?) On contrary spirituality starts from at a point takes a complete cycle to end in that position. Spirituality can handle both question of how and why.
Quantum physics – an eye opener Universe starts from singularity. (Advaitha) Universe is ever expanding – Purusha- “Purusheshu vishnu” Space time geometry agreed by Albert Einstein and Sir Isaac Newton leading to Quantum physics research.
Quantum physics (contd..) Sub atomic stage of universe – no vacum no emptyness. It is all filled with energy of 10 99 ergs cm 3 . “ OM - Purnamadah Purnamidam Purnat purnamudachyate. Purnasya Purnamadaya Purnamevavashisyate.” “ That is whole, this is whole, from whole comes out of whole. If Whole is subtracted from whole, still whole is left.”‘Whole’ can be replaced as ‘infinity’ also. – (Isha upanishad – intro verse)
Time Space Geometry American physicist John F. Wheeler explains that matter (atoms) is like 'Quantum foam'. It likely floats as quanta (vibration) of energy on the surface of an underlying ocean of the cosmic energy (Atma, Brahman) from which all the five kinds of energies* have been born. (*five elements by Vedas and Swami). On this primordial level it is impossible to differentiate among light, matter, space and time. By my views such is core of Atmic reality through the expressions of  modern science.
Do we influence others? How!!!!!!!!!! Look at this film clipping and understand how is it relevant to our life. Your thoughts and actions pervades the external world and influence the others…..!!!!!
Understanding Vedas Human form has a purest Nervous system in the universe to get enlighted sooner – Lord Buddha We have to commit ourselves to the path of spirituality and understands its connections in every day life. Each Guru is Light and you are in the right path to enlighten the fellow students and also shine by yourselves. Lead kindly light , Let the light shine
Jai Sai Ram “ Whereever you go I am there and what ever form you pray I am there and whereever you work it is prashanti and do it with divinity and sincerity”.SSB We love you swami ever and ever and what ever we do it is because of you…… My heart goes on and on….
