This document discusses a case study of web-based information system development. It begins by noting that existing software development methodologies may need to be modified for web-based systems. The study then explores the methodologies used by organizations to develop their web-based information systems through case studies. The core finding was that development is dominated by new technology challenges, and organizations take a structured problem-solving approach rather than using web-specific methodologies. The results also showed deficiencies in development strategies around documentation and guidelines.
