This document proposes a competency-based human resources architecture for logistics enterprises. It begins by explaining the need for such an architecture given the importance of logistics and human capital to business success. The architecture defines the major components of human resources and their interactions based on the key processes in logistics life cycles. It aims to describe the competencies, or knowledge and skills, required for each component to effectively carry out its role in the supply chain. The architecture is intended to help logistics enterprises better define competency requirements and manage human resources.
