This study investigates the effects of regular and staggered openings on the seismic performance of reinforced concrete shear walls in a 14-story building model using ETABS software. It finds that shear walls without openings perform better in terms of seismic behavior, while the presence of openings significantly affects structural integrity. The results show similar displacements for shear walls with regular and staggered openings, emphasizing the importance of considering openings during construction design.
