Self Reflexivity Self Reflexivity: When a text knows its a text and draws attention to its structure, production and/or conventions to the audience. •Each character talks directly to the audience explaining a scene and expressing their opinion. •At times each character also mention the actually reality show and explain its purpose and how helpful it is for their fans.

High/Low Art Hybrids Cinema is largely considered a mass entertainment and low art, so juxtaposing it with ‘high’ art is seen as a way of producing something new. • The kardashians are often seen to be wearing high designer clothes and have a very rich royal lifestyles although some contents of the reality show do include low art aswell. •Driving a expensive luxury car? •Buying cheap fast food?
- 5. Non-Linear Narratives • The reason why keeping up with the kardashians has a non-linear is because as each episode starts there is never a structure, it just continues from one situation in their lives to another.
- 6. Hybridity • The show includes hybridity because its mainly drama however also a bit of romance for example arguements, weddings and engagments. This is an arguement between Kendall and Kris about Kendall not taking care of her dog. In this part of the episode Kourtney and Scott her partner make up after an arguement about Scott’s new expensive van.
