The ABLLS-R is a criterion-referenced assessment that measures 544 skills across 25 skill domains related to kindergarten readiness. It is based on applied behavior analysis principles. Each skill domain contains individual skills that are scored based on the child's ability to demonstrate the skill. The skills are organized in an Excel grid with columns representing skill domains and rows representing individual skills within each domain. Scores can range from 0 to either 1, 2, or 4 depending on the complexity of the skill, with higher scores indicating greater independence. The ABLLS-R provides a comprehensive evaluation of a child's language, academic, self-help, and social skills.
