Potentialing is a process for maximizing a person's unrealized skills through progress, not destination. It focuses on positively engaging soccer parents rather than controlling them. Potentialing gives parents guidance on what they can do to help their child grow as a person and athlete through soccer. This includes simply being present and helping them reach their potential abilities from a parental perspective. Potentialing requires a plan centered around creating a supportive environment using play, communication, and driving a child's confidence, persistence, and motivation. The book provides information on these concepts and how parents can apply them during their child's soccer experience.
