The document presents a method for tracking the left ventricle in scintigraphic sequences using an enhanced Active Shape Model (ASM) that incorporates spatio-temporal a priori knowledge. By modeling shape variations over time, the method aims to provide more reliable segmentation of non-rigid structures, overcoming limitations in traditional ASM approaches. The proposed technique demonstrates promising results through applications on synthetic and real sequences, highlighting the importance of spatio-temporal considerations in medical image processing.
