This document provides rules and examples for adding and subtracting decimals. The four rules are: (1) line up numbers by the decimal point, (2) annex zeros to make all numbers have the same number of decimal places, (3) add or subtract starting from the right side, and (4) bring the decimal point down in the answer from the placement in the problem. Examples are provided applying these rules to add 48.6, 27.35, and 12.394 and to subtract 67.5 and 32.67.
