- 2. What is Cold Chain: A Quick Intro Temperature sensitive products like Pharmaceuticals need to be maintained within a specific stability temperature range during shipment. Challenges in Cold Chain Shipping • Temperature Controlled Shipping Systems are used to protect Pharmaceuticals from Ambient Temperature Excursions • Choice of the correct shipping system for a specific weather conditions is critical for Pharmaceutical Asset Protection • Currently, there is a need for Logistics Managers to estimate the Weather Conditions in a particular shipping lane and choose the correct Shipping System • Currently there is no Automated Tool available in cold chain industry, that is able to estimate weather conditions for given shipping lane
- 4. Tool for Pharmaceutical Asset Management Salient Features: This tool allows the user to: A. Enter the dates and locations of the shipment B. Based on this input the tool utilizes the publically available historical weather data from NOAA to compute the exact weather conditions that during shipment C. Based on the weather conditions, the user is prompted to choose from a list of qualified shipping systems that are rate for the given conditions.

Use Cases – Sales Organization • Sales Manager : – Manages the Inventory Authorization & Client Request – Receives Client order request – Process the shipment data using this weather tool – Utilizes the historical weather data for determining temperature changes on the shipping lane – Calculates the Mean Ambient Temperature based on the selected shipping lane & Date – Chooses the correct shipping system based on the computed Ambient Temperature – Places the order for Clients(Phamaceutical Company) – Tracks the shipment with SENSITECH Sensor ID.

Use Cases – Inventory Organization • Inventory Manager : – Creates Product Catalog for CCT – Provides specific product details like Temperature State, Payload Volume, Duration, Minimum & Maximum Temperature,etc – Sensitech Sensor is assigned to every product created – Product Catalog can be viewed – Products can be Updated – Products can be removed
