This document outlines the process for redesigning the book cover of "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom". The designer began by sketching rough concepts and was inspired by the illustrative style of Eric Carle. Letters and a coconut tree were painted on vellum to create textures. Various typefaces were explored for the title and body copy. Initial compositions with the painted letters did not work well due to glare and contrast issues. The designer then experimented with composing the letters and tree in a piled manner to resemble the story. The process involved creative experimentation with materials to achieve a handcrafted look.
