My InquiryreflectionTerm 1By Alec
                 Term 1 CampIn term 1, I went to Motutapu camp with the camp 2 classes (7-25). There, we were involved in lots of fun outdoor activities like sailing, rock climbing, high ropes and others. I learnt lots of new skills and points, like on teamwork and how to co-operate in a team. It made a difference because the things I learnt could be useful for later in my life.
                          PEGoing out to PE on a sunny day also made a difference because most of the games needed teamwork and encouragement.  Our class nearly won the whole lunchtime sport tournament at school but lost on the last game to room 7.  I guess it was because we made a good team and cheered for each other when we played the game chairs. I also learnt about teamwork from there.
In term 1, our inquiry was “Who We Are” and one of our tasks was to design either a poster or a keynote slideshow presenting our research about a famous team. Like a music band or a sports team. And talk about  what they do, how they work as a team, and what attitudes do they show. I was in a group with Thomas and Mustafa, and we did a poster about the famous NBA team called the cleveland cavaliers. We had jobs that each person had to do like getting the info, writing it down , and graphics. I learnt more about working in a small group. For our results, our poster got 1 excelling  and the rest were extending. We were all proud of what we did.   Who We AreTeamwork poster
IB Learner Attribute PosterAlso during our “Who We Are” inquiry work, we had to get into groups and make a poster showing the 10 IB learner profile attributes and their meaning. I was working with Thomas, Dylan, Jia Ming, Stephen and probably someone else. Each person had an important role to do like designing the words, writing the meaning, and pasting the words onto the poster. It was a good example of teamwork.
ConclusionIn term 1, I worked in lots of teams and learnt many skills and things to do with teamwork. They will help me a lot later in my years of school.

Alex my inquiry reflection
