Fernando Alonso was born in 1981 in Oviedo, Spain. His father supported his early karting career. Alonso won several junior championships between 1993-1996 and moved up to Formula 3000. In 2000, he joined Team Astromega in Formula 3000 and finished fourth in his rookie season. Alonso made his Formula 1 debut in 2001 and became Renault's test driver in 2002. He won his first Grand Prix in 2003, making him the youngest winner at that time. Alonso won the Formula 1 World Championship in 2005 and 2006, becoming the youngest double champion. He has earned widespread recognition and financial success for his racing achievements.
