The study investigates the issue of harmonic distortion caused by the use of household mixers, which negatively affects power quality. By implementing a passive LC filter, the total harmonic distortion (THDi) was reduced from 61.48% to 23.75%, thereby improving the power factor from 0.75 to 0.98. The results indicate that using such filters can help meet the IEC61000-3-2 Class D standards for electrical equipment.
