We started with the free version. We now have the enterprise version. So far I would give our deployment 2/10. On a positive note we know we are a 2 out of 10 & we think we have a plan.

Enterprise social is not Facebook so it's not going to miraculously just work. We need to provide a compelling reason why people should get into Yammer (WIFM?). Yammer needs to provide business value and personal value. Single sign-on is important to Provoke & so are the admin features of Yammer. We were missing a key message as to why Yammer.

PROVOKE SOLUTIONS LIMITED A U C K L A N D M A N I L A W E L L I N G T O N S E A T T L E S I N G A P O R E #Provoke & Yammer | Next steps • Agree with key stake holders in the business that Yammer is a tool for the business & they want to adopt it. • Define what we believe Yammer can do for Provoke's culture – “the conversation”. • Define a communications plan for Yammer for the business. • Fix a couple of technical issues. • Find some Yammer Champs (must include key business leaders and influencers).

PROVOKE SOLUTIONS LIMITED A U C K L A N D M A N I L A W E L L I N G T O N S E A T T L E S I N G A P O R E #Things to think about • • • • • • • Yammer is cloud only Today there is limited e discovery and auditing options (compared with Office 365) Global Admin is a truly global admin Yammer is really different to how “traditional” business works today Yammer has cross over with Lync, SharePoint, word, email etc people will ask where to do work Yammer “today” is not integrated into the Microsoft family If you don’t deploy Yammer (or an alternative) someone in the business might be deploying it (read will)
