- 1. Analysis of Credit and Title Sequence - “The Black Hole”
- 2. The Black Hole is a short film made by ‘Future Shorts’, a company who upload short productions to a channel on Youtube. I am going to analyse the title and credit sequences of the Black Hole.
- 3. Title Sequence The title sequence for this short film is very basic. It begins with the company logo appearing using animation and sounds to add interest. Under the logo is the company's web address. Following this is a simple white title over the opening establishing shot.
- 4. Credit Sequence The credit sequence is also very simple. It consists of plain white text over a black background. The first part highlights the starring Actor as well as the Writer and Director; only two people. Being as our short film contains more than one actor, I will not include the writer and director on the first page of the sequence. I will include two people on each page, so the first part will credit the two starring actors, and the second page, the two featuring actors. Then the sequence goes to on to depict other people involved in the creation of the film such as the Producer, Director of Photography and Stylist etc, all of which I shall include in my credit sequence. The style of the credit sequence is the role on the left, followed by the person's name on the left; something which I shall follow for my work.
- 5. Credit Sequence The text then changes to various other roles such as ‘Sound’, ‘Runner’, ‘Edit’, ‘Camera’ and ‘Lights’. In our production, it was not possible to have all of the roles highlighted here, as our production was done on a very small scale. So I shall only include one page like this. The sequence then goes on to mention the company name and who the film was made in association with. It then says special thanks to other contributors. The last part contains the logo again, along with the web address, which I will include. And then finally asks the viewer to subscribe to a Youtube Channel.
