Jettainer is a company that leases cargo containers and pallets to airlines. They developed an Android app called JettApp to digitize the manual process of tracking the containers. The app uses barcodes, signatures, and cameras. Testing revealed challenges with scanner performance, mobile networks, and damaged labels. Lessons included accepting imperfections, testing with users, and providing workarounds to keep business needs met. The rollout required addressing barcode size limits and offline data transmission issues.
