This document discusses various stop motion animation techniques including object animation using found objects, modeling with clay or plasticine, simple clay animation, time lapse photography, pixilation using live subjects, puppetry, and combining different formats. Students are assigned a task to research an animator, explain their animation style, gather pictures and links to their work, compare animations, and discuss the animator's strengths and weaknesses. The aims of the lesson are for students to discuss title sequences, research and explain title sequences, and for some to research animation styles.
