- APIX is an association of Internet Exchange Providers in the Asia-Pacific region, with the goal of sharing information and experiences to address technical, operational, and business issues regarding Internet exchanges. - There are currently 25 member IXPs from 17 countries/economies in Asia-Pacific. The 15th APIX meeting was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam with representatives from 20 IXPs. - Key topics at the meeting included IXP database resources, monitoring techniques, and member updates. The bylaws were modified and a new Steering Committee was elected. A new peering event called Peering Asia 2017 was announced to be held in Kyoto, Japan in November 2017.
