- 15. 2009The Samoa Earthquake was the largest of 2009, recorded at a magnitude of 8.1, that took place in the Samoan Islands located in the South Pacific. It generated a tsunami that killed almost 200. The U.S. sent air crafts and federal aid to help those in need.
