This document describes an experiment using an Arduino board and Simulink to model and control an RC circuit. It involves:
1. Deriving a mathematical model of the RC circuit from first principles and identifying parameters.
2. Collecting open-loop step response data using the Arduino and fitting a model to identify parameters.
3. Analyzing the closed-loop response and designing PI and PID controllers to improve performance. Controller parameters and closed-loop specifications are reported.
4. Comparing experimental and simulation responses at each stage to validate the modeling and control design.
