The student created three designs for a magazine: a front cover, contents page, and double page spread. They felt the double page spread was most successful because it took more inspiration from other magazines. Both the front cover and contents page had color schemes that diminished the designs by making elements blend together too much. Overall, the student learned that they need to pay closer attention to color contrast, consistency of design elements across pages, and including more images and details in their work. They plan to apply these lessons to improve their magazine design skills for the upcoming year.
