- 2. Music and DanceMusic is big part of the Ukrainian culture that has a long history and many influences, which include folk music all the way to classical and modern rock. Elements from traditional Ukrainian folk music have made their way to Western music and modern jazzDance is another big part of there culture and has influences in dances from Polka all the way to The Nutcracker
- 3. LiteratureUkrainian literature dates all the way back to the 11th century, following the Christianisation the Kievan Rus. The writing at that time was mainly liturgical and were written in Old Church Slavonic. Ukraine faced a sudden decline in literature during the Mongol invasion of Rus and began to develop again in the 14th century.
- 4. The Easter egg has long ties to Ukraine and is known as pysanky. The eggs were drawn on with wax to create a pattern and then were dyed different colors, where the wax was the dye would not stick so it would create a pattern on the egg. This tradition is thousands of years old and even comes before the arrival of Christianity to Ukraine.Art
