My potential opening sequence is similar to ‘Kidulthood’, ‘The break up 'and ‘Half-Nelson’.
- 7. The structure of my opening sequence is non-linear as it does not have a conventional narrative structure and is not a contemporized modular narrative. In relation to the genre, the conventions presented are: Conventions Explanation Conflict/harassment- this is reinforced as there is usually conflict due to both important and trivial matters .This is to keep the audience on edge whilst making it realistic. This is so that is doesn’t deflect from the focus point. Realistic Events- this is reinforced as realistic events occur within drama films. Allowing the audience to relate would allow them to stay connected with my presentation and can allow them to express specific emotions within a particular topic and also seeing how others may cope with it.
