- 3. THINK School classes are not preparing our students for what their career job will require. If some type of “internship” could be more broadly available, it could help the student decide sooner if they are in the right field. Networking is critical to post college success and cannot be under- emphasized. How do we emphasize it AND encourage it?

FEEL I have student loans and I can’t wait around for the “perfect” or “ideal” job The kids are questioning their investment, when they leave school with so much ambuguity The college fairs seem so far fetched that few really attend…Why? No experience…light resumes…seems designed for the nerds or “over achievers”.
- 5. INSIGHTS!! Good Internships are rare… Early in college, kids need exposure to their future career Schools either have great 1-to-1 advisor relationship BUT not well networked OR poor 1-to-1 advisors yet lots of valuable internships…just poorly administered What are we doing to prevent the kids from wasting their tuition dollars Family is the number 1 network…what does the student with no family do? What is the alternative to “internships”, that is more broadly available?
