- 1. Assignment 6 - Initial Ideas By Michael Dreelan
- 2. Idea 1 • Performance • Plan B – ill Manors • Rap • The idea I had for this was to film myself walking around our local area in Dedworth capturing things like graffiti on walls and smashed bottles. This is because the song is basically about bad areas that are filled with violence along with mentioning a corrupt government. I thought it would be a good idea to portray my local area in a way that represents this song. • The lighting would consist of artificial lighting from lamp posts and cars as we would be filming on the streets at night and it would be very dark. • The costume would consist of clothes that are often related to chavs and roadmen as this would be the target audience. This would be things such as a full tracksuit. • We would be smashing things in the video and causing damage to capture the anger that is emitted from this song. • We would use a drone to capture more of the area a paint a better picture for the video. • I think this is achievable for us as we can easily get the costume and access the location without a problem. The style of the video would also have to rely on editing a bit to capture the style of the video but this would be fine with some practice.

Idea 2 • Narrative (illustration) – Performance • White girl Voice – Rajitheone • RnB • The meaning of our video will be to portray a breakup in a relationship, therefore we would use many ideas that look very emotional and evoke a lot of sympathy. • Our idea was to use a lot of slow motion and low key lighting to create a sad and emotional feeling to the video as this would allow the audience to relate to it as most people have been through a breakup sometime in their life. • Part of the video would be myself signing the song in front of a black screen as this makes the audience focus on one thing and can help emphasise the lyrics and highlight the meaning of the song. The other half of the song would be us driving through an empty street at night with the camera on the car and also another camera looking at the lights. We would apply a blurry effect to represent the blurred mind of the person after the breakup. • The costume we would wear would be nice hipster/ cool clothes to fit in with the style of the song and the artist. This would also help us relate to the audience as they might possibly wear similar clothes.
