- 1. Marci Poe 9/3/13 ASSURE Assignment A- There are twenty students in my fourth grade class. The class is made up of eleven girls and nine boys. There are two Muslims, three Jewish, and two African Americans. I will be teaching all about Holiday traditions. S- My fourth grade students will develop a new perspective about Holiday traditions in their own culture as well as other cultures by researching information and creating a poster and note cards to present the information they found to the class with 95% accuracy at the end of the week. S- I will be teaching my students about Holiday traditions by bringing in and passing around objects from different cultures used and talking about them with the class. I will also create a PowerPoint with information and pictures. U- I will ask students their opinions and questions throughout the process. They will be using the internet, TV, movies, books, or multimedia to research their information. There are few required materials for this project. The needed materials are availability to information, note cards, and a poster board. Other materials may be used to decorate their poster, if wanted. The students will use resources, such as computers, provided to them at school as well as at home. R- Students will present the information they found to the class. E- Evaluation will be done using a rubric for the presentation that will be sent home with the students.
