On Survey Monkey
AUDIENCE RESEARCH
From my research I had
50% male and 50%
female responses. My
target audience is more
aimed at females, but also
males so the 50/50 split
was good.
My age target audience
is 16-24 year olds. 70%
of the people who
carried out my survey
are in-between those
ages, this is probably
the case because I sent
the link out via various
social media sites to
reach that target
audience as I know they
use social media
I then asked my audience
how often they buy music
magazines. 40% of the
people I asked said that
thy never buy them which
is a concern for me.
From asking what type of
magazine you would like
to buy I got 40% of the
people saying they would
rather buy pop. Because
of this I chose to do pop.
Almost 50% of my
audience said that when
they buy a magazine
they look for eye
catching images when
buying a magazine so
when I do my magazine
I need to make my main
image stand out.
90% of the people I
asked said that they
listen to music everyday,
I believe this is the case
because many people
have ipods and other
media player in the
modern day. Also they
may listen to music on
there way to school or
work on the radio.
The majority of the people who
answered my survey said that they
look for blue when buying a
magazine so I will include some
form of blue in my magazine as its
what the audience want
The majority of the people I asked
also stated that if there were free
cds or posters inside the magazine
they were more likely to but it.
When I asked how much people
would pay for a music magazine the
most popular answer was £1 followed
by £2, because my magazine is going
to be a quality magazine I will price
mine at £2.99
When I asked what peoples favorite
genre of music was I got a joint top
answer of Pop, and Rock. Because
classic pop was the second most
popular answer I will base my
magazine on pop.
