This document provides an overview of the Avalon Green Alley Network Demonstration Project in Los Angeles. It begins with an introduction to green alleys and examples from other cities. It then documents the development of the Avalon Project, including its history, partnerships, funding, design, community outreach and upcoming construction. The Avalon Project aims to transform alleys in the South Park neighborhood into a green network by incorporating permeable paving, vegetation and stormwater management techniques.
