This is my older example of a male audience figure, I have tried to present this avatar as someone who is
interested and watches star wars, someone you could say as a massive fan or geek. This primary example
should’ve watched all star wars movies right from the beginning when the first film was released in 1977,
as he’s in he’s adulthood around 35-55 years old. In their spare time after work they would be interested
in the media and movies , cartoons and magazines from when they we’re younger. They would also
enjoy going to events to meet up with other star wars fans and share views on new films or information
about upcoming releases. I think majority of them will fall into the C2,C1,B on the NRS scale. This
meaning they will get the average or just over average wage so working as manual worker, or
administrator. These people would be classed as the resigned category on the psychographic scales. This
would be because they have constant unchanging values from over a long period of time.
This is my primary example of an older female audience, for star wars the force awakens, she’s about 35-
55 years old. Once again shed be on the NRS scales as a c1,c2,B as she's about the average middle class
citizen. But on the psychographic scale they may come under the mainstream category, the biggest
overall category on the 4cs scale. I think they might come under this section as they are all most likely
mothers and will always put others before themselves as one of the features suggests in the mainstream.
Her life style would consist of and role around her children/family, teaching and showing them all her
favourite films (including star wars) and activities. Their spending habits will be close to the older mans
around £1500 this includes everything as well as bigger events like concerts.
By watching the new star wars shell feel proud to be a women because of Rey being the lead character
and showing strong, independent features (personal relationship).
This is my example of male child audience for star wars. This life style as a boy would be based around his
education and going to school, but within his free time he’d typically play video games, read and spend
time with his family and friends. His often watches films and goes to the cinema, this is where his money
will go as well as on concerts and comic con. This is because they are still children from as young as 4
years old and their parents have got them into star wars so they have all the toys and lightsabres to play
with instead of actually watching the film and understanding what was going on. His family would fall
under anything from A-D on the NRS scale with his parents working in a diverse range of jobs, including
manual worker, supervisors, administrative… I think this example would watch the film because of a
number of reasons; as an escape and distraction from real life (diversion), or for surveillance as he could
take away the teamwork and friendships from the film and put it into his life. I think these gratifications
because he would come under the struggler on the 4CS scales, as he would struggle at school and be
thought as a loser and wouldn’t necessarily fit in .
