Project 1: CORE Project
Domain: Banking and Financial
Role- Database Designer / PLSQL Developer

Core Project contains many systems and are developed as per BIAN standards. There are few
systems which have master data and it will be used by all the other financial organisations.
Systems will be provided to different organisations as per the licensing methods. Few of the
systems which are very basic to Core banking will be provided as default like ledger, leg and
few master data systems.
Roles & Responsibilities –
 Understood the different models of whole project.
 Have to create scripts as per the requirement for all systems in Oracle and some for
DB2 along with constraints.
 Tuning Hibernate generated queries and replacing native queries where it’s
necessary.
 Creating stored procedure w.r.t. requirement and tuning the same for better
performance.
Key Challenges & Key Contributions -
 Handling a very big team and responding to all problems in the team.
 Have to create basic scripts in Oracle as well as in DB2 with all constraints.
 Giving training/presenting basic information to the whole team about Oracle and
DB2.
 Performance tuning of Hibernate generated queries or Native queries or Stored
procedures.
Project 2: CRIS UTS-PRS Data Warehouse
Domain: DBA / Data warehousing
Role- Database developer
Duration- June 2014 to December 2015
Team Size- 12
Technologies- Oracle Data Integrator, CONNX
The project was to extract data from Sybase ASE, Oracle, Open VMS and DB2 sources and
loading to a target database Sybase IQ. There were mainly 2 parts in the whole POC,
Passenger Reservation System (PRS) and Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS). Both will uses
different database technologies. Through Extract-Load-Transform (ELT) process data needs
to be loaded to target data warehouse. Many interfaces were created for process and
respective JDBC drivers used to connect to each different databases as a connectivity.
Roles & Responsibilities –
 In a very short period of time understood and analyse the requirement and able to
deliver POC to continue the project.
 Connecting to different database technologies with respective JDBC connections to
retrieve the information.
 Understanding structure of Record Management Services (RMS) file which is at very
basic level and building the CONNX Data Directory (CDD) repository for the interface.
Key Challenges & Key Contributions -
 Understanding different systems and connecting each of them to retrieve the data to
develop interfaces as per the requirement.
 Need to use CONNX client to retrieve data from Record Management Services (RMS)
file which was completely unknown. Learned within a week and implemented.
Project 3: Pays & Sec – Financial Management System
Domain: Banking and Financial
Role- Oracle Database Designer / Developer
Duration- March 2012 to May 2014
Team Size- 15+
Technologies- Java, Oracle 11G
A cash pool or cash concentration system is an older name given for Payments and
Security project which was a service that (for one customer) brings balances from different
accounts together in a net value that will be used for interest calculations. The main purpose
for the customer is to achieve interest netting and better utilization of available liquidity. A
Pays & Sec is a tool for corporate customers where account balances are accumulated or
aggregated using one of the several available techniques. The purpose for the corporate is
to achieve one or many advantages.
Roles & Responsibilities –
 Understanding the Requirements and dividing the complete Requirements in to
Modules.
 Modifying the designing according to the changes in the requirements.
 Bringing out the new design considering the latest requirement.
 Tuning of hibernate generated queries.
 Writing stored procedures and tuning the same.
Key Challenges & Contributions –
 Performance tuning of JPA queries and stored procedures to get the result sets for
million records in a less than 2 seconds.
 Due to use of agile process method in the project, changing of project with respect
to requirement was difficult.
 Few areas were re-designed as per the change of requirement from customer.
