Part 2- Level of Awareness of Transmission of HIV

1. Please read each item carefully and decide honestly to what level you are aware about the
    transmission of HIV on the items given below.
2. Do not leave any item unanswered
3. Each item is answerable by TRUE or FALSE by putting check (  ) mark according to your
    awareness/know about HIV transmission.
4. Note, some of the item are not correct descriptions about HIV.
                 Do you agree that a person is risk for transmission TRUE FALSE
                              of HIV when;
    1. Having unprotected sex with partner who uses injectable drugs or
        shares needles with someone.

   2. Had unprotected sex with a multiple sex partners.
   3. Do oral sex with infected (HIV) partner is safe than anal
      intercourse.
   4. Having a sexually transmitted disease like genital herpes or syphilis
      makes it easier to get HIV virus.

   5. By hugging with person infected the virus
   6. Had unprotected sex with a man who has had sex with another man
   7. Using public toilet seats and swimming public pool.
   8. Only homosexual men are risk in contacting HIV.
   9. The healthy looking person could not have an HIV virus
  HIV can be transmitted by;
   10. Transmitted by blood, semen or vaginal secretions
   11. Transmitted by HIV infected mother’s breast milk
   12. Transmitted by shared needles for administering drugs used by
       HIV infected person
   13. Transmitted during childbirth by HIV infected mother
   14. By sharing food with an HIV-positive person
15. HIV virus can be transmitted by mosquito bites
