- 3. In Teaching Hours to do lesson preparation, creating resources and etc. Such data can be considered as our LIVELIHOOD . They are very PRECIOUS data. Despite this, people do not back up.
- 4. “ My computer and my hard drive can live forever.” There are 2 type of hard drives. Ones that have failed. Ones that will fail. Increase your chances by having additional copy of your precious data in another media storage area (eg. External hard drive)
- 5. “ Phew, I always save my data in my external hard drive.” The keyword in the definition of backup is ADDITIONAL COPY .
- 6. “ I am too busy to back up my stuff now, maybe…” Your backups are only as useful as the last time they were run . You need to have good personal backup practices Either do it manually and regularly Or use Setup-And-Leave-it backup software.
