Ahedd aims to develop a digital innovation ecosystem that aligns with BDVA's objectives to enhance data-driven innovation for SMEs in the region. Co-founded by notable institutions, Ahedd will benefit from partnerships and synergies while focusing on digital transformation in the Greek economy. Ahedd's 2020 priorities include creating a smart campus, building industry partnerships for AI and IoT solutions, and providing training and consulting in AI applications.

Why we decided to apply for the label ahedd’s mission “to develop and orchestrate a digital innovation ecosystem in order to match the opportunities and challenges that SMEs in the region are faced with” is perfectly in line with BDVA i-spaces objective “to accelerate take up of data driven innovation in commercial sectors”
- 3. As a member of the Labelled i- Spaces Europe-wide federation, ahedd will contribute and benefit from exchanging good practices with the Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH) i-Spaces in all related areas of concern.
- 4. ahedd, is a DIH co-founded by: • NCSR Demokritos (over 700 researchers) • Future Intelligence Ltd (Fint offers innovative telecom engineering products and services in areas of IoT, 4/5Gs and distributed architectures) and it is fully supported and enriched by their Infrastructure Research and Technologies, Services and Impact. The labelling process The labelling process helped us to focus and structure internal communication links, flow and synergies with: • all Institutes, • 40 spin off SMEs hosted in Demokritos’ Technology Park, • more than 200 business partners and contacts coming from all industry segments, • State Institutions and structures and • top level International Partnerships. As a labelled i-space empowered by Demokritos brand awareness in the Greek society and business environment ahedd builds its position as a trusted business partner to face the critical need for the digital transformation of the Greek economy targeting drastic competitiveness improvement. This message was very positively received by major business partners.

Become a “smart” campus living paradigm by using multiple sensors and IoT platforms in various buildings and campus areas such as smart hydrometers, parking sensors, lighting and garbage management and fleet telematics system. • a “showroom” for the community and industry • certify systems’ and platforms’ performance • support new installations and operation

Build up partnerships with selected key players by industry segment identify their business process needs and assess potential benefit of AI, IoT and Big Data Management solutions. Develop easily adoptable solutions for the needs of individual companies of each segment Recent Examples: • UV disinfection robotic system (Healthcare – Professional Services) • AI empowered legal document classification (Legal – Banking – Insurance – Professional Services) • Digital Governance of corporations and the public sector

Industry and public sector training and consulting regarding AI possible use • Expectations and possible benefits • Define the necessary implementation process including possible new job descriptions and adequately qualified personnel • Provide “after sales” support and consulting to train on the job and maximize expected benefits
