This presentation summarizes the successful migration of JA Fukuoka City, a Japanese agricultural cooperative, from Microsoft Office to LibreOffice. JA Fukuoka City migrated over 400 PCs to LibreOffice in 2011 to reduce costs and enable the use of presentation and drawing software by all employees. They shared their migration experience and manuals openly under Creative Commons licenses to help others. Their open sharing approach has encouraged other organizations like Tokushima prefectural government to follow their lead in adopting LibreOffice.
