                                Behavioural Objectives
Dear Colleagues.
Having noticed that some of you have troubles in phrasing the Behavioural
Objectives, I present to you this paper in the hope that it will be of value and help in
your daily teaching practices

Behavioural objectives are divided into three domains, namely:

1. The Cognitive Domain
2. The Affective Domain
3. The Psychomotor Domain

The sub-divisions of the cognitive domain are:
1. Knowledge: It can be expressed by the following verbs:
Mention, recognize, describe, name, count, choose, arrange, make a list, define,
point out, order, repeat, memorize.
2. Comprehension: It can be expressed by the following verbs:
Explain, deduce give examples, rewrite, distinguish, Translate, describe, discuss,
clarify, summarize, express, locate
3. Application: It can be expressed by the following verbs:
Apply, solve, draw a diagram, use, exemplify, develop, organize, employ, practice,
tabulate information, reconstruct
4. Analysis: It can be expressed by the following verbs:
Analyze, compare, differentiate, classify, examine, test (try), and criticize, match
5. Synthesis: It can be expressed by the following verbs:
Plan, design, generate, invent, construct, coordinate, retell, produce, modify,
suggest.
6. Evaluation: It can be expressed by the following verbs:
Evaluate, pass a judgment, justify, argue, defend, refute, predict, and criticize
The sub-divisions of the affective domain are:
    1. Receiving: It can be expressed by the following verbs:
    Ask, listen, choose, refer to
    2. Responding: It can be expressed by the following verbs:
    Agree, respond, obey, participate, and volunteer
    2. Valuing: It can be expressed by the following verbs:
    Accept, initiate, study, help, join, follow, prefer
    3. Characterization by value: It can be expressed by the following verbs:
    Behave, believe,
The sub-divisions of the Psychomotor Domain are:
1. Observation: It can be expressed by the following verbs:
  Watch, monitor, and follow up, etc.
2. Imitation: It can be expressed by the following verbs:
   imitate, copy, and repeat,
3. Experimentation: It can be expressed by the following verbs:
   Examine, check, do, and watch. etc.
4. Practice: It can be expressed by the following verbs:
   Do without supervision, mass produce, work efficiently, and work confidently,
5. Mastery: It can be expressed by the following verbs:
   Master, produce quickly and efficiently.

Values
It is very important to instill in our children some values which reflect our
true faith in Islam and our dedication as good citizens, such values are:
  1. Respect for others
  2. Accepting other’s point of views
  3. Punctuality
  4. Honesty
  5. Cleanliness
  6. Showing pride in the Islamic Culture
  7. Faithfulness
  8. Apologizing
  9. Appreciating others’ opinions
  10.Thanking and praising others
  11.Expressing sympathy with others
  12.Forgiving others
  13.Socializing
  14.Dedication
