- 4. Vocational Service calls every Rotarian to: • Aspire to high ethical standards in our occupations • Recognize the worthiness of all useful occupations • Contribute our vocational talents to the problems and needs of society What is Vocational Service?

Some popular activities include: • Classification talks/tours of members’ businesses • Holding career fairs and workshops • Mentoring young people • Promoting ethical behavior in business • Using members’ vocational skills to serve or train others (e.g. Vocational Training Teams) How do clubs practice Vocational Service?
- 6. One of the central goals of Vocational Service is to promote and advance integrity and high ethical standards. Two useful tools are: • The Four-Way Test • The Rotary Code of Conduct Ethics
- 7. Of the things we think, say or do 1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned? The Four-Way Test
- 8. As a Rotarian, I will: 1. Act with integrity and high ethical standards in my personal and professional life 2. Deal fairly with others and treat them and their occupations with respect 3. Use my professional skills through Rotary to mentor young people, help those with special needs, and improve people’s quality of life my community and the world 4. Avoid behavior that reflects adversely on Rotary or other Rotarians 5. Not seek special business or professional advantages from other Rotarians The Rotary Code of Conduct

ROTARY COMMUNITY CORPS (RCC) CONCEPT • Sponsored children of RCC members as high school scholars • Vocational training on: carpentry, painting, masonry, welding, electrician work, plumbing, tile setting, cellphone technician, watch repair • Former construction laborers now work in skilled professions after receiving training
- 30. ROTARY COMMUNITY CORPS (RCC) CONCEPT • Some graduate applied work and overseas • Trained watch and cellphone technicians now have their own stall • Improved and upgraded the lives of their families • Rotary club continues with such successful training and scholarship
