This document provides details about a Heavy Electrical Equipment Plant (HEEP) that manufactures large turbo generators. It describes the main components of a 250 MW totally impregnated turbo generator produced at the plant, including the stator frame, stator core, core and winding assembly, rotor shaft, rotor winding, and rotor retaining ring. The stator frame supports the laminated core and winding and guides vibration. The stator core is made of insulated electrical sheet steel laminations. The rotor shaft is a single piece forging made from vacuum cast steel that holds the field winding in longitudinal slots.
