The Association for Rural & Small Libraries (ARSL) is dedicated to supporting the growth of rural and small libraries across the U.S. and Canada, offering resources, training, and networking opportunities for library staff. Membership benefits include professional development workshops, access to a listserv for sharing experiences, and participation in an annual conference. ARSL aims to foster community and collaboration among library professionals while emphasizing the importance of rural libraries.

- 2. arsl.org The Voice of Rural & Small Libraries The Association for Rural & Small Libraries, Inc. is a network of persons throughout the country dedicated to the positive growth and development of libraries. ARSL believes in the value of rural and small libraries and strives to create resources and services that address national, state, and local priorities for libraries situated in rural communities.
- 3. ARSL -THE BEGINNING… ARSL was founded as part of the Center for the Study of Rural Librarianship at Clarion University and now has, at last count, 1758 members from rural and small communities in the United States and Canada.
