The document presents a new fuzzy logic-based space vector modulation approach for direct torque controlled induction motors to reduce disadvantages such as high torque ripple. The proposed method calculates optimum switching states using a fuzzy logic controller applied to a voltage source inverter, resulting in improved dynamic torque and speed responses compared to conventional direct torque control schemes. Simulations indicate a significant reduction in torque ripples and speed fluctuations under varying load and speed conditions.
