- 2. Planning and research 20% Main piece 60% Evaluation 20% COURSEWORK UNIT For the main piece 10 marks are for each ancillary with the other 40 for the film For the evaluation reflective skills are vital and big part of the exam so I’ll work hard on that part

THE EXAMINERS ARE LOOKING FOR… The candidates ability to plan and construct media products using appropriate technical and creative skills (A03); secondly to assess candidates application of knowledge and understanding in evaluating their own work, showing how meanings and responses are created (A02); and finally to assess candidate’s ability to undertake, apply and present appropriate research (A04).
- 4. KEY SKILLS It’s important to learn and examine your work but also to plan it out. Genre- Which category? How can I tell? Representation- who or what and how do you know? Audience- Who is it aimed at? Narrative- How is meaning created (what is the story or moral) Media language- Visual and technical bits used to tell the story.
