The students were tasked with building a structure out of newspaper that could hold a tennis ball. They first drew a plan and then started building based on the design using tape and newspaper, but the initial structure fell as they tried to make it tall. After researching stronger designs on the computer, they fixed their structures so that it could successfully hold the tennis ball.
