• Vessel motion affect the operation of process systems on
board, e.g.
– the separator
– units that operate by spraying
– rotating equipment

– Under extreme weather conditions, production may have
to be shut down as a safety measure
– Offloading by shuttle tanker may be interrupted by
extreme weather

• Multi-deck arrangement may be
