1) In Genesis, Adam and Eve had another son named Seth after Abel was killed by Cain. People then began to call upon the name of the Lord. 2) Enoch walked with God for 300 years and was taken by God without dying. He set an example of prioritizing God above all else. 3) David was a man after God's own heart who gave God glory and understood that God justifies and comforts those who call on Him during trials.
Call Upon the Name of the Lord
- 1. Unless We Call Upon the Name of the Lord Genesis 4:25-26 (ESV) 25 And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called his name Seth, for she said, “God has appointed 1 for me another offspring instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.” 26 To Seth also a son was born, and he called his name Enosh. At that time people began to call upon the name of the Lord.
