- 2. Aperture The larger the aperture is the more light is allowed in meaning that the camera will only be able focus a small amount of the photograph. Where as if there is a small aperture then there is less light meaning the camera can focus on almost everything in the photograph.
- 3. Shutter Speed shutter speed or exposure time is the length of time a camera's shutter is open when taking a photograph. The amount of light that reaches the film or image sensor is proportional to the exposure time. The camera's shutter speed, the lens's brightness (f-number), and the scene's luminance together determine the amount of light that reaches the film or sensor (the exposure). Exposure value (EV) is a single quantity that accounts for the shutter speed and the f-number.
- 4. ISO ISO is the level of sensitivity of your camera to available light. The lower the ISO number, the less sensitive it is to the light, while a higher ISO number increases the sensitivity of your camera. With increased sensitivity, your camera sensor can capture images in low-light environments without having to use a flash. But higher sensitivity comes at an expense – it adds grain or “noise” to the pictures.
