This document reviews the potential of carbon nanotubes (CNT) and carbon nanotube field effect transistors (CNTFET) as promising alternatives to silicon technology for circuit designing, particularly in extending scalability below 22 nm. It highlights the unique properties of CNTs and CNTFETs that can enhance circuit performance, reduce power consumption, and address reliability issues in analog and digital circuit designs. The paper includes a comprehensive analysis of existing literature on CNTFET-based circuits, underscoring the need for further research in the analog domain.
